The band is back at the Fat Cat Brewery Tap on Lawson Road Norwich Sunday 2nd June for our now established Sunday afternoon session from 2.30.p.m. Do come long to this great Sunday afternoon gathering and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of this great Norwich Pub which offers an amazing range of real ales and an afternoon BBQ too.

Another great night at David's "The Bird in Hand" at Wreningham. Thank you all for your support; you were a welcommg audience and we loved playing for you. Once again David generously hosted an amazing supper for us all and after the gig helped us breakdown the equipment and load up the transport. What a guy!! We all look forward to returning later in the year.

David of "The Bird in Hand ", Wreningham has invited us back to play at his wonderful pub on Friday 24th May starting at 8.30.p.m. So that gives you plenty of time to sample his excellent beers and fabulous food before we start playing. So don't forget to book a table to avoid being disappointed. Hope to see you all there for another evening of our unique "Britgrass" music.

Thank you to all at the Beeston Ploughshare for the wonderful welcome beer, food and support on Friday night. Hayley was very unwell and shouldn't have really been singing so a massive thanks to her for battling on throughout the evening. Particular thanks go to Paddy, Jane, Jean & John for their continued support...it's always great to see you.

We are back at The Ploughshare, Beeston, just west of Dereham this Friday 3rd May starting at 8.30.p.m. Do come along to this great pub that not only has some fine real ales but also a great selection of fine food on its menus. It's one of our favourite gigs. Hope to see you there.

An important news update. An article in this weekends "North Norfolk News" could be translated to read that we are appearing at this years "Folk on the Pier" festival. We are not although we may well be playing there in the future. However we wish Scott Butler and all the FOTP team the very best for a great weekend

Another great afternoon at the Fat Cat Brewery Tap. Thanks to you all for what for us was great gig and also for coming down to pack out the pub especially on an afternoon when the sun was "eventually" shining! Massive thanks to Laura & Mark for continuing to support both us and live music at the FCBT. Has to be the best live music pub venue in Norwich!! See you all back there in June.

What a great night at the Bird in Hand at Wrenningham. Thank you all for your terrific support and for the making the evening so enjoyable for all of us in the band. Also a huge thanks to David, the landlord of what is fine pub, for making us so welcome and also for the delicious meal....we can't wait to return!! So see you all again on May 24th.

Catch us at our next gig which is a first for the band at the "Bird in Hand" at Wrenningham. It's on the 29th March with us playing from 8.30.p.m. Please come along and support us and this great pub which is just outside Norwich just off the B1113.

What an amazing time we had in West Norfolk. Thanks to all that came to see us at both the Wolf Folk Club, Wolferton, Sandringham and also to all who ventured out the next day to the Queen Victoria at Snettisham. You all made us feel very welcome & happy.

A special thanks go to Roger & Patsy Young at Flitcham for their great hospitality which included a superb buffet prior to the evenings performance at Wolferton. Also thanks from Hayley & Sarah the comfortable beds and lovely breakfast. My thanks also to Steve &Lorraine at Sandringham for their hospitality, wonderful comfy bed and lovely breakfast and mugs & mugs of tea.And last but by no means least another huge thanks to Lise and her charming and welcoming parents for the superb lunch and comfy repose afterwards.

Some sad news and I know a little late, but the great dobro player Mike Auldridge passed away on December 29th 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was my initial inspiration and was the leading player that brought the instrument to a larger audience following on from the great Josh Graves. Sad to say I missed meeting up with him when I attended the Resosummit in Nashville. He dropped by, unannounced for an hour or so but I was in a lesson with Rob Ickes and did'nt know he was on the campus. His legacy will live on and will continue to inspire us lesser mortal dobro players.

Our next two gigs are in the wilds of West Norfolk. On Thursday the 21st February at The Wolf Folk Club, Wolferton, Sandringham where we will be doing a rare unamplified set. We are really looking forward to it and send our thanks to Roger & Patsy for inviting us to what is one of the best clubs in Norfolk.

Then on Friday 22nd we are back in the area at The Queens Head, Snettisham from 8.00.p.m. doing our full blown "pub" set. Hope you can make it.

Much appreciated. The Fat Cat BT is our favourite Norwich venue so it's a big thanks to all the team there for making us so welcome.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

What a great night it was at the wonderful PLOUGHSHARE in Beeston just west of Dereham. It's a great pub with some great beer & food and a great welcome. A big, big thank you to all of you who packed the place out especially on such a terrible wet & windy night. We all really enjoyed playing for you all as well as enjoying your company. A big thanks goes to Paddy and his guest Anna from Montana who we hope has had a great stay in the UK. Look forward to seeing you all sometime in the New Year just keep on looking here for details.

Thanks to all who came out to see us The Bell, Salhouse, on the evening of December 1st. It was a quiet start but as the evening passed several more of you braved the cold to come and lend us your support. A big thank you to you and to the great guys at The Bell for their continued support of the band. We couldn't be more grateful.

Thanks to all who came to see the band and Nigel Boy Syer last Sunday evening at Arkwrights. A small but select audience who made the evening a very enjoyable one for us. Watch this space for we my be promoting a regular Sunday spot at the venue. More information to follow.

What a successful evening it was at The 2012 Norfolk Arts Awards Ceremony last night the 26th October.We really enjoyed being part of what is destined to become one of the leading arts events in the county. Our thanks and congratulations go to Stash Kirkbride Peter Beck and Peter Barrow for their vision and for their dedication in turning an idea into a reality.
